Piping Down the Sun

This is a free weekly event put on by the Celtic Blue Highlanders. On select Friday evenings throughout the summer, locals and visitors gather at Rotary Cover just before dusk to listen to the pipe band play as the sun sets. The cotton candy skies provide a dreamy backdrop for the captivating music. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly with many settling in on blankets or chairs on the grass to enjoy the performance.

For the 2026 season, Piping Down the Sun will take place on Friday evenings in July. The event begins one hour before sunset at Rotary Cove. Arrive early to get the best spot!
