Beaches and Waterfront

The Goderich waterfront boasts 3 beaches, 2 boat launches, and a scenic 1.5km boardwalk. From the main beach you can also see the entrance to the world’s largest salt mine and huge lake freighters delicately navigating in and out of the harbour. On top of the Town’s 200 foot bluff, we have a historic lighthouse and many viewpoint parks to enjoy the infamous sunsets over Lake Huron.

You can find out more about our beaches and waterfront, including accessibility and parking information, on the Town of Goderich Beaches & Waterfront webpage

Goderich also offers a Waterwheels program to help those with mobility issues enjoy our beaches. Visitors can reserve a beach access wheelchair or floating wheelchair free of charge through the Tourism Information Centre.
